You could either call it crazy or creative. Both works for me!
Have your parents ever said anything like “Don’t you play with your food!”? Forget about it. NOW!
This will be a playful approach to delicious food. Delicious food that is healthy, vegan, yummy and fun. No do-or-die here. No obsession about evil ingredients. Cook, play and enjoy. Oh, and eat it. That might be the most important part. But you’ll need to cook or bake new toys soon, don’t say I didn’t warn you!
(don’t eat the playful decoration though. Legos are a little heavy in your stomach…)
Who is doing all this?
So that’s me. Besides many other interests, I love to create new vegan recipes. With fresh ingredients and made from scratch. I also like to play copycat (doing my own frappuccinos and fake coldstone). You’ll see!
Why legos?
Cause they are fun. And I hate being serious about everything. And vegan food is fun, too. So it’s a perfect match, isn’t it?

What a great concept! Your blog header is the greatest.
Aw thank you! There will be a post for the cake in the header, too. It was my birthdaycake this year… ;)
Great site, and great idea. As far as I’m concerned, you can combine ANYTHING with Lego!
Did you build that panda in your header? I’d love to see more pictures of that.
I wish I did build it myself… it was a polybag set, actually. One day my skills will be on this level… getting there! ;)
There will definitelly be more panda pics though! Mid august I will have more time for blogging, cause my exams will be over. I am really looking forward!
LOL… totally agree with you, who said we can’t play and enjoy food at the same time. Love your blog and the photo and the legos. Cheers.
I absolutely LOVE your concept and photos! You made me laugh, and your food looks gorgeous (as well as tasty)!
Very cute and creative concept!! Havn’t come across a blog quite like yours before. Thanks for finding my blog, and I look forward to catching up on posts on yours. Would love to try out your almond butter recipe! Cheers, Melanie
Hey, I like your recipes, pics & original idea!
I just wanted to let you know that I followed the link to your blog from another site (ohsheglows) where you left a comment, and your link was broken. It went playfulandhungry.wordpress, com (comma not dot). Maybe you want to look into it, I just changed it in the URL and got to your site, but someone might not make it…
Aw, thanks for letting me know, I will have a look!
I am glad you like my concept!
I love your blog! You’ve combined my 2 favorites! Food and Lego! My family isn’t vegan (although many of my relatives are) but we try to really limit our dairy intake. Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
I have nominated you for a Reader Appreciation Award!! You can see the details and rules at http://beyondthegreendoor.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/reader-appreciation-award/
Aw, thank you so much, you really made my day!
I’ll write a post on that as soon as possible… probably at the end of this week! I am writing exams right now and there’s just so much to do that I won’t be able to update the blog until then…
However… THANK YOU!!! I am so amazed! My blog is so just… I’ve hardly been posting for three weeks and I already get the first award… I don’t even know what to say!
You’re quite welcome!!! :-)
i like it!! where in germany are you? i live in france and I find it exceedingly hard to be a vegetarian let alone vegan in europe!
I live in Trier, close to Luxembourg. So it’s kind of close ;) It’s easy when you eat at home, but eating out can be hard!
And the grocery stores definitely don’t have the same variety of vegan alternatives as the US ones have!
Eating more homemade food helps though.
I like you blog.. its great..
do you restrict unhealthy food from your concept.??
I don’t exactly exclude any kind of (vegan) food… However, as I normally eat really healthy, most of my recipes will be healthy and tasty, too. But every now and then, there might be a birthday cake or something…

Aw, thank you so much, I feel honored! I will do a post on that soon. But I feel like I should post some food first ;)
Love it. Love all of it :) I actually had a similar blog idea myself that involved recipes with lego & other assorted fun toys! So crazy that I came across yours.
Really? That’s awesome! It’s good to know that I am not the only person with those weird thoughts on my mind. In first place, I didn’t expect anyone to like what I am doing… but apparently people do like it and I am enjoying myself quite a bit! Let me know when you put your idea into practice!
I can’t wait to see another food/toy crossover blog, either. Maybe I should do one of beer and Lego… Hmmmm….
Haha. Nice.
Now I’m in the mood to play Lego Harry Potter.
One of my favorite games. Can’t wait to get Lego Batman 2.
Just played that one actually. Haha. It’s a gooder.
My boyfriend and I just started playing Harry Potter l. =D
Nice!
I totally will :)
Ahh I Love your blog! :) It’s so much fun and the recipes look delicious (especially the raw frozen hot chocolate om nom nom).

Hi, thanks so much for stopping by and for the like :-].
Really like some of your recipes. More of a vegetarian myself but think I’m going to give some of yours a go :-}.
All the best.
Hey! =)
I don’t think that you have to be vegan in order to try vegan recipes! Some of them are just accidentally vegan and even people who are neither vegan nor vegetarian liked them!
Best!
Hi Sweetie,
I nominated you for the Beautiful Blogger Award!
